About Brookside Kitchen

Welcome to Brookside Kitchen!

I’m Cheyenne and I’ve always had a love for baking and cooking. My goal with this blog is to share that passion with you. I’ll be sharing pre-tested, easy-to-understand recipes so you can have confidence in the kitchen. Whether you’re a new home baker, want to cook more from scratch, or just looking for recipe inspiration, my hope is that Brookside Kitchen will be your go-to spot.

While I’ll be sharing a variety of recipes including quick and simple recipes, intricate recipes, desserts, and savory items, don’t be surprised if you see a bit more dessert recipes on here than savory ones. I do have a bit of a sweet tooth.

Food is the heart of many gatherings with family and friends and I hope that you can find recipes on here that you’ll be excited to share with your loved ones, and maybe even some that will become staples in your kitchen for years to come.

Black Cocoa Cookies & Cream Ice Cream

Imagine turning an Oreo into ice cream. Not traditional cookies and cream ice cream, but having the ice cream itself be richly Oreo flavored. That’s the best way to describe this ice cream.
several creamy scoops of coffee toffee ice cream in cones, a bowl, and container with scattered coffee beans and toffee pieces

Coffee Toffee Ice Cream

This coffee toffee ice cream is smooth and creamy and such a delicious treat! The deep, rich, coffee ice cream is wonderfully contrasted by the sweet, buttery, crunchy toffee pieces.
refreshing, silky lemon curd topped with lemon zest on a marble countertop

Easy Homemade Lemon Curd

Lemon curd is a magical thing. It’s sweet and tart, refreshing and silky, and loaded with bright lemon flavor! It can do it all – it can be layered in cakes or trifles, spooned into tarts, swirled in yogurt, spread on toast or pancakes, and so much more. You can find it sold in jars, but once you try homemade, you’ll never go back to store-bought!
