Notes
Yield - this recipe makes enough of the peanut butter layer for a 9 x 13 batch of brownies. If your boxed brownies or plain brownie recipe is for an 8 x 8, either halve this recipe or double the brownies.Baking dish - If you're using the same glass or ceramic baking dish to freeze the peanut butter and bake the brownies, make sure the baking dish comes to room temperature before baking to prevent it from cracking from the sudden temperature change.
